New Body of RKNEC Alumni Association
INSTALLATION OF NEW BODY OF SRKNEC ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
New body of Shri Ramdeobaba Kamla Nehru Engineering College Alumni Association, Nagpur Chapter was installed on Sunday, 26th June 2011 at MBA Auditorium, SRKNEC Campus, Katol Road, Nagpur.
The installation ceremony started with floral welcome of past presidents Mr.Neelam Bhatia and Mr.Sanjay Gupta. Warm welcome was given to Professor In-charge of Alumni Association, Prof.P.D.Pachpor and Advisor Prof.K.N.Agrawal
The former president of SRKNECAA Mr.Sanjay Gupta presented a brief report on various activities carried out by SRKNECAA during his tenure. It included the grand Silver Jubilee Celebrations on SRKNEC campus on December 2009. The celebration included the visits of remarkable personalities like Rahul Bajaj, Chetan Bhagat to name a few. The visit of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was an additional feather in the cap of SRKNECAA.
Mr.Tushar Marghade was elected as President and Mrs. Mridula Korde as the new Secretary. Prof.K.N Agrawal conducted the oath taking ceremony of all new office bearers of SRKNECAA.
Mr.Tushar Marghade, in his opening remark as new president shared his thoughts and future plans. He said that his main aim as the president would be to increase the number of alumnus joining the SRKNECAA and that this could best be achieved through social networking sites. Also he promised that he will serve the Alumni Association with full fervor and will raise the success bar set by past presidents to further glory.
Prof.P.D.Pachpor and Prof.K.N.Agrawal shared their experiences of working with alumni of SRKNEC and urged all alumni to give their contribution and support to take the college and association to new heights. Also they encouraged the alumni to come in for campus placements in their alma mater.
Around 40 alumni were present for the event who shared their views and ideas. Dr.S.B.Pokle, Prof.M.B.Damle, Prof. Anupam Kher and Prof. P.B.Kulkarni graced the occasion with their presence.
Ms Jaypreet Keer, alumni of SRKNEC conducted the proceedings of the event.
